@smithhimself: I went to a posh private Catholic school where the nuns would always make a point of publicly telling the 'poor kids' how lucky they were to be there on charity. As a kid you don't really understand the implications of this on a life but I often wonder about some of those kids today (I moved before graduation and didn't keep in touch with anyone). As a result of my 'elite' education I am a) an atheist and b) an avowed supporter of public education.

Additionally, CO$ has tried to deny care to their own members who suffer from physical illnesses. They are told that if they just practiced CO$ principles correctly, their diseases would disappear.

So whether these members are brainwashed or are physically unable to get treatment due to living at CO$ facilities, people are dying prematurely.

I'm amazed at how few people seem to care that a disabled child might have suffered mistreatment, RESULTING IN DEATH, and are apparently more concerned about *decorum* at a time like this.

If these people had been poor? They'd have been arrested on the spot and you'd all be howling for a life sentence... but they are celebs, so it's a boatload of sympathy and a suspension of disbelief worthy of the Disney channel.
